Dua Lipa's fans not impressed by her modest $5K engagement ring: 'It's not even the size'

LONDON, ENGLAND: Dua Lipa flashed a new diamond on her left ring finger while attending a hot yoga class in London on Monday, December 30, but fans are reportedly not happy with the singer's modest engagement ring.

The 29-year-old singer is reported to be engaged to 34-year-old English actor Callum Turner after he "got down on one knee for a romantic proposal" over Christmas, however, neither has verified the rumors, reported Daily Mail.

Dua Lipa, who didn't wear makeup for her yoga session, appeared driving a £130,000 ($163127) Porsche Cayenne Turbo through the Primrose Hill neighborhood. The pop sensation wore a white trench coat, black pants, and tan UGG boots to spruce up for the event.

She finished her look with a pair of sunglasses and let her dark hair fall loosely down her shoulders. She went out with a bunch of friends, and the hitmaker snapped a picture of the group outside the studio. 

Despite showcasing her inherent beauty, the singer's diamond ring—which many assumed was her engagement ring—seemed to draw the most attention.

Although the ring's origin and exact pricing are unknown, an X (formerly Twitter) account dedicated to the singer stated that it was the Tiffany & Co Etoile Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring, which is reported to have cost approximately $5,000 but is no longer in stock.

Regarding the jewelry item, Anya Walsh, a jewelry specialist at 77 Diamonds, the biggest online diamond retailer in Europe, told the outlet, "The ring seems to be either a classic solitaire diamond set on a large, gold band, in what seems to be 18 carat yellow gold."

"The slightly wider than average band gives the ring a confident, chunky feel. It's a more modern look for a classic solitaire but still retains an elegant, wearable style," Walsh added.

"The diamond could either be set in a bezel, which is a gold surround that secures the diamond without the need of claws, or a simple four claw setting."

Walsh clarified that the diamond was either cushion cut or round, and based on her knowledge, she estimated its weight to be two carats.

"From what I can see, it's a beautiful, classic solitaire - a long-term favorite beloved by brides-to-be - that can easily be teamed with Dua Lipa's many styles and outfits," she said.

The outing followed the singer's Instagram post where she posed with a fur Moon Boot and a festive headband while flashing a huge diamond ring on her ring finger.

The joyous couple, who have been dating for more than a year, celebrated their engagement on New Year's Eve with their loved ones.

"Dua and Callum are so in love and know this is forever. They are engaged and couldn't be happier," a source told The Sun.

They added, "Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally and this is the cherry on the cake. Callum is such a solid support for Dua and they make a wonderful couple. Their family and friends are so happy. It's been an amazing Christmas for them."

Fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to express their opinions about the engagement ring as some fans said the sparkling diamond was not lavish enough for the 'Training Season' hitmaker.
