LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Phil Robertson, the beloved patriarch of the 'Duck Dynasty' clan, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, his family revealed in a recent episode of their 'Unashamed with the Robertson Family' podcast.

Phil's son, Jase Robertson, shared the tough news, explaining that the 78-year-old is also battling a blood disease, which is compounding his health struggles, as reported by TMZ.

'Duck Dynasty' star Phil Robertson diagnosed with Alzheimer's



 

“He’s just not doing well. He’s really struggling,” Jase Robertson said, adding that the disorders are causing significant physical and emotional challenges for the reality TV star.

Jase disclosed that Phil is in the “early stages” of Alzheimer’s disease and that the doctors have also found “some sort of blood disease that’s causing all kinds of problems. It’s accelerated and it’s causing problems with his entire body.”

Jase detailed how Phil’s condition has worsened, noting that his father has been in visible pain and is finding it difficult to get around. Despite his challenges, Phil has expressed a desire to return to television.

Phil was absent from the podcast during the emotional update, and Jase admitted that watching his father’s decline has been heartbreaking for the family.

Phil Robertson rose to fame as the founder of the Duck Commander company and a central figure in 'Duck Dynasty', which aired from 2012 to 2017. Known for his faith, wit, and wisdom, he became a cultural icon during the show’s five-year run.
