Nominated alongside esteemed actors like Brian Cox, Gary Oldman, Pedro Pascal, Jeremy Strong, and Dominic West, Culkin appeared genuinely moved as he received the Globe, playfully channeling his character Roman Roy in his acceptance speech.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Culkin started his speech with a touch of humor, stating, "Sorry, burping. Indigestion. Otherwise, this is a nice moment for me. I've blown it already. I was nominated for a Golden Globe, like, 20 years ago. When that moment passed, I remember thinking, 'I'm never going to be back in this room again," referring to his 2003 Best Actor nomination for the film 'Igby Goes Down'.
Continuing, he expressed gratitude, "It's fine, whatever. But, thanks to Succession, I've been in here a couple times, it's been nice, but I sort of accepted I was never be on the stage. So, this is a nice moment."
