In the resurfaced interview with Vulture, Dylan O’Brien said, “I have a trans, non-binary sibling and I know people in my personal life as well who are queer. I am so grateful for how much it deepens my experience in this world.” This quote was reposted by Gay Times on Instagram.

Internet reacts to Dylan O'Brien's trans sibling's claims

Online reactions were swift and divided after Julz O'Brien’s comments.

One user on X posted, “Not wishing your sibling a happy birthday is just so sad.”

Another commented, “Damn, that’s rough. Hope they can work it out.”

"Nothing wrong with that, I'd be disappointed with my sibling if they did that," wrote one more.

One user suggested, “maybe he just doesn’t like his sibling for a valid reason and it has nothing to do with them being trans? just a thought.”

Meanwhile, others were more blunt, with one writing, “CANCEL HIM!” and another sarcastically posting, “Love that for dylan.”
