Dylan Sprouse holds alleged intruder at gunpoint at Hollywood Hills estate until cops arrive

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin were involved in a home security incident early Friday morning, April 17, after an alleged intruder attempted to break into their residence in the Hollywood Hills.

According to law enforcement sources, Palvin called 911 at approximately 12:30 am to report an attempted burglary at the property. Authorities said Sprouse, 33, confronted the suspect and held him at gunpoint during the incident.

Police responded to the scene following the call. The situation was brought under control shortly after, and no further details on injuries or arrests were immediately available.

The 'Suite Life of Zack & Cody' actor confronted the man and managed to restrain him until police arrived. According to TMZ, Sprouse was armed during the incident. At one point, he reportedly placed his gun back into its holster and then secured it behind the front gate of the residence.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that officers were informed Sprouse had a firearm on him during the encounter. The suspect has not been publicly identified by the LAPD. A source close to Sprouse said the actor is “OK, but obviously very shaken up,” adding that this was not the first time the couple had dealt with someone trying to access their property without permission.

Authorities described the situation more as trespassing than a serious burglary attempt. Still, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin reportedly did not want the man booked on trespassing charges.

TMZ also reported video of the arrest, which shows the suspect being handcuffed while wearing a dirt-covered Stamptown sweatshirt. A skateboard can also be seen near the property gate, while Sprouse and Palvin are not visible in the footage. The couple has not yet made any public comment about the incident.

The 'Suite Life of Zack & Cody' alum bought his Hollywood Hills home in 2021 for about $2 million. The house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. He has been living there with Palvin since they got married in July 2023.

Over time, Sprouse has often shown how protective he is of his wife, while also speaking about how strong and calm she is in everyday life.

He called her a “beast” for pushing through the injury. Speaking to E! News in October 2025, he said she stays very calm under pressure. “She’s very nonchalant about everything,” he said. He also added that she goes into big moments with confidence, saying, “She’s just like, ‘Ah, well, today’s the day.’”
