Elections officials don't see any improvement by USPS

They also added that they have not seen "improvement or concerted efforts" to address their concerns, reports CBS News.

It is a pressing concern since millions of voters are expected to cast their ballots by mail in the weeks before Election Day.

"State and local election officials need a committed partner in USPS. We implore you to take immediate and tangible corrective action to address the ongoing performance issues with USPS election mail service. Failure to do so will risk limiting voter participation and trust in the election process," the official wrote.

Internet slams Louis DeJoy for his inefficiency

Netizens shared their take on letter shared by elections officials. Many pointed that Louis DeJoy shouldn't be holding the Postmaster General position.

One person commented on X, "Joe Biden should have gotten rid of Louis DeJoy. Period."

"I think we need every reporter on this and put pressure on the USPS board. Dejoy doesn't care. But the board could care with some pressure. Maybe a petition?" another felt.

An individual opined, "Louis DeJoy doesn't give a s*it about whether we get our mail on time. He's a Trump appointee that we can't get rid of because of Civil Service rules."

"Why is DeJoy still in the Postmaster General role after his actions pre-2020 election?" another questioned.

"A letter won’t cut it with this guy. Where is @propublica to find out the dirt on the not so joyful DeJoy?" one said.

Another voiced, "What makes this infuriating, DeJoy, in charge of mail system has been a disaster from day 1. 2020,we were supposed to remove him, replace him with someone competent. Fast forward 4 yrs, another consequential election & the mail system is worse @TeamPelosi @RepJeffries @SenSchumer"
