BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) stated on Sunday, July 21, 2024, that she is ready to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic contender to succeed Joe Biden.

Notably, in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, Warren faced both Biden and Harris. Now, she is joining the rising number of Democrats who are supporting the Vice President for the party's candidacy, according to HuffPost.

Elizabeth Warren ready to campaign for Kamala Harris

Elizabeth Warren posted on social media platform X, "I endorse Kamala Harris for President. She is a proven fighter who has been a national leader in safeguarding consumers and protecting access to abortion."

She added, "As a former prosecutor, she can press a forceful case against allowing Donald Trump to regain the White House. We have many talented people in our party, but Vice President Harris is the person who was chosen by the voters to succeed Joe Biden if needed."

She also mentioned, "She can unite our party, take on Donald Trump, and win in November."

In the post, she also stated, "Joe Biden’s presidency has been transformational. He accomplished more in the past four years — to bring back jobs, stand up to big corporations, and build an economy that works for all of us — than we have been able to get done in the last forty."

She went on to write, "He deserves full credit for beating Donald Trump in 2020, and his selfless decision today gives us our best shot at doing it again in 2024. While Donald Trump tried to tear down our democracy to maintain his grip on power, Joe Biden willingly stepped aside in order to protect our democracy."

She added that Biden's selfless action is a profound gift to the people of the United States and 'it’s on all of us not to waste it'.

Elizabeth Warren questions Dems skeptical of Kamala Harris’ ability to defeat Donald Trump

For Democrats who doubt Kamala Harris' ability to take down Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 general election, Elizabeth Warren reportedly had one question for them -- "Who better to take on a convicted felon than a former prosecutor?"

Following Biden's support, Harris declared that she would "do everything in my power" to bring the party together and that she would seek to "earn and win" the Democratic candidacy.

She said in a statement, "We have 107 days until Election Day. Together, we will fight. And together, we will win."

Notably, Donald Trump, 78, has now become the oldest nominee for President in history, while his Democrat opponent Harris, 59, is 19 years younger than him. This could turn out to be a positive factor for the Democrats.
