LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ellen Pompeo isn’t just grateful for her cameo in Taylor Swift’s 'Bad Blood' music video; she’s in awe of the singer’s kindness.

While reminiscing about her experience working with Swift, the 'Grey's Anatomy' actress revealed that the global icon made an extraordinary donation to a children's charity without hesitation after they first met.

During an appearance on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show', Ellen Pompeo shared how being part of Taylor Swift’s 2015 star-studded 'Bad Blood' music video won her major "cool points" with her children.

"I got so much mileage out of that. Taylor is such a good girl. I didn’t know her and she invited me to be in the video, and I thought, ‘Oh, that will be fun.’ And I went and did the video. Honestly, it was the easiest thing. It was like an hour or two," the mother of three shared.

The video featured an ensemble cast of A-list names, including Selena Gomez, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, and Mariska Hargitay. Swift, a longtime fan of 'Grey’s Anatomy', even named one of her beloved cats after Pompeo's iconic character, Meredith Grey.

But it wasn’t just the music video that left Ellen Pompeo impressed, it was the pop star's generosity.

"At the time, my husband (Chris Ivery) and I were heavily involved in volunteering at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles," she recounted.

"They have an amazing program at Children’s where they make music for the babies in the NICU. For the parents who have to go to work all day and they can’t be with the kids, they record their voices singing nursery rhymes or telling them stories, and they play it for the babies in the day when the parents can’t be there. The babies respond to it and it makes their outcomes more positive," Pompeo noted.

"It’s a really nice program, but they need money to run it. So I asked Taylor, 'Could you write me a big old check for Children's?'" Pompeo recalled. "She knew me for all of 20 minutes, and that girl wrote the biggest check without even blinking an eye."
