WASHINGTON, DC: After a recent cyberattack on jet firm NetJets, owned by Berkshire Hathaway, a document was leaked that disclosed preferences of one of its high-profile clients, Elon Musk, who himself owns several private jets.

The document contains details about how the SpaceX CEO wanted to be served on his flights and what he prefers to do while flying, a Bloomberg report has claimed.

Elon Musk's flying preferences revealed

While Tesla is a company dedicated to sustainability, as per the leaked document, its CEO Elon Musk is not “interested in conserving fuel" as he “wants to fly as quickly and as direct” as possible, per Tech Crunch.

Moreover, crew members on his airplane are advised to refrain from engaging him in small talk unless he initiates it. Also, the staff should not offer him technical help.

“Mr Musk considers himself self-sufficient and does not need help with technology — if he does, he will ask," the leaked memo stated.

Musk prefers to take a nap while flying, even on day trips. The 53-year-old does not even want the passenger vents on since he “does not like the noise” they make and prefers to keep the cabin at 65 degrees.

The breach, resulting from a phishing scam, compromised data of some NetJets clients, including Musk. The company is investigating the incident.

A spokesperson for Net Jets said: "We recently detected and addressed a security incident involving an employee’s account. Upon detection of the incident, our cybersecurity team immediately initiated our response protocols and implemented containment measures. We found that a limited amount of data for a very small number of Owners was obtained, and we contacted each of these Owners. The activity did not affect our operations or our ability to service our customers."

Musk himself is the owner of several private jets and they are registered under Falcon Landing LLC. But his favorite is Gulfstream G650ER — a large business jet, built by the US company Gulfstream Aerospace, which can carry up to 18 passengers at a time.

The jet boasts of a technologically advanced cockpit, operational reliability as well as a luxurious cabin, per Ladbible.

The Elon Musk-Peter Navarro spat

This came amid Elon Musk's public spat with Peter Navarro, Donald Trump's top trade advisor, over the reciprocal tariffs imposed by the US on dozens of nations.

Justifying the government’s new tariff policies while brushing off Musk's criticism, Navarro said, “We all understand in the White House (and the American people understand) that Elon's a car manufacturer. But he's not a car manufacturer — He's a car assembler.”

“In many cases, if you go to his Texas plant, a good part of the engines that he gets (which in the EV case are the batteries) come from Japan and come from China. The electronics come from Taiwan... what we want — and the difference is in our thinking and Elon's on this — is that we want the tires made in Akron,” he added.

The economist also stated, “We want the transmissions made in Indianapolis. We want the engines made in Flint and Saginaw. And we want the cars manufactured here.”

In response, Musk tweeted, “Navarro is truly a moron. What he says here is demonstrably false.”

In a follow-up tweet, he shared, “Tesla has the most American-made cars. Navarro is dumber than a sack of bricks. @IfindRetards @RealPNavarro.”

“By any definition whatsoever, Tesla is the most vertically integrated auto manufacturer in America with the highest percentage of US content. Navarro should ask the fake expert he invented, Ron Vara,” Musk asserted.
