WASHINGTON, DC: Tech billionaire Elon Musk visited the Oval Office on Friday, May 30, to bid farewell to his official role in the Trump administration, sporting a black mark under his right eye.

The Tesla CEO's departure comes 130 days after President Donald Trump returned to office - the maximum allowable through his status as a "special government employee", according to the BBC.

The black mark near the multi-billionaire's right eye was quite visible, and the assembled press couldn’t resist asking, "What happened to your eye?" per Fox News.

Musk replied, "Well, I wasn’t anywhere near France. I didn’t know the first lady of France isn’t a lieutenant" as he poked fun at news regarding French President Emmanuel Macron, who was caught on camera being shoved by his wife last week.

The SpaceX CEO then said, "No, I just was horsing around with little X",  referring to his five-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii.

"And I said, ‘Go ahead, punch me in the face.’ And he did. Turns out even a 5-year-old punching you in the face… actually does this," he added.

Trump jumped in immediately and asked him, "That was X that did that?" as Musk replied, "Yeah."

The POTUS then said with a grin, "X could do it, if you knew X."

However, the tech billionaire did take the win of saving over $150 billion for the Trump administration.

Musk also expressed he “will continue to remain a friend” as his co-lead Vivek Ramaswamy is rumoured to take his spot at DOGE.
