BOCA CHICA, TEXAS: Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, made a direct statement on social media, defining a woman, which has stirred an enormous response from all political and cultural spheres.

After an online debate, Musk interjected with a comment saying that a woman is a person with a womb, a tweet that rapidly became popular and hence received both applause and criticism.

Elon Musk says ‘if you have womb, you are a woman’

On Saturday, December 13, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX wrote on his platform X, “If you have a womb, you are a woman. Otherwise, you are not.”

The 13-word message garnered more than 30 million views and around 20,000 responses, many of which expressed agreement with Musk.

A few days ago, Musk clashed with California Governor Gavin Newsom’s press office over Musk’s transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, after Newsom boasted about his pro-trans policies.

Musk responded sharply, refusing to call Wilson his daughter and criticizing gender-affirming care for minors, saying he was "tricked" into consenting.

Internet reacts to Elon Musk's remarks with anger and support

"Your gender was assigned by God; he was not confused," said a person supporting Musk’s explanation of womanhood.

A few more supported Musk, with one writing, “Elon Musk has just obliterated all the pronoun BS.”

Some, however, pushed back against the South African-born businessman’s comments.

One X user asked, “So if a woman gets a hysterectomy, they are not considered women anymore?" before sarcastically writing, "That’s pretty mean.”

Another user said, “I’ll probably be suspended soon. It was nice knowing you all.”

Another commented, “600,000 hysterectomies are performed in the US per year. Those women are not women anymore? I’ve never seen anyone falling for propaganda as hard as Elon has.”

“Actually, this is not true, because there are women with MRKH syndrome (Mayer–Rokitansky–Küster–Hauser syndrome), in which the uterus is absent or underdeveloped from birth,” one more highlighted.

Elon Musk clashes with Gavin Newsom

Musk's‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ remarks were made a day after he disagreed with California Governor Gavin Newsom on the topic of transgender individuals.

The conflict began when Musk’s America PAC shared a clip of Newsom on 'The Ezra Klein Show', where the governor said, “There’s no governor that’s done more pro-trans legislation than I have.”

Newsom’s press office took a jab at Musk on X, tweeting, “Correct. We’re sorry your daughter hates you, Elon.”

Musk responded sharply, refusing to call Wilson his daughter and clarifying his family situation. The tech billionaire wrote, “I assume you’re referring to my son, Xavier, who has a tragic mental illness caused by the evil woke mind virus you push on vulnerable children. I love Xavier very much and hope he recovers.”
