Elton John gets fans teary with his performance at Disney Christmas Day Parade

ORLANDO, FLORIDA: Elton John delivered an emotional performance of 'Tiny Dancer' during this year's Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade, leaving fans deeply moved.

The parade, featured hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro reporting from Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Elton John's heartfelt performance closes out the parade

The star-studded event included performances by John Legend, Andy Grammar, Carly Pearce, and Pentatonix. Popular Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Elsa from 'Frozen', and Buzz Lightyear from 'Toy Story' also made appearances, Daily Mail reported. 

John, 77, closed the parade with his performance of 'Tiny Dancer', singing from behind a piano on stage at Magic Kingdom. The performance captivated viewers and added a magical touch to the holiday celebration.



 

In an interview with On The Red Carpet, Elton John described the experience of performing there as "fantastic." He added, "My kids are gonna love it, because they're Walt Disney fanatics, as are we," John said.

John and his husband, David Furnish, have two sons. Zachary was born via surrogate in 2010, followed by Elijah in 2013, also via surrogate.

Elton John discusses new music with Stephen Colbert

Following his farewell tour in 2023, Elton John appeared on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' on December 17, alongside Brandi Carlile.

During the interview, John reflected on his career, his creative process, and recent health challenges.

When Colbert, 60, asked if his creative "juices" were still flowing, John confirmed new music was on the way.

"You will be getting some more [music]," John said. He added, "The juices have never dried up. They never want to dry up because I’m always looking to create things."

"It’s just having the space now to do it at my own time. Of course, there will be new Elton John music," he confirmed.

Elton John's performance touched viewers who took to social media to share their emotions.



 

"Someone tell me why I got weepy listening to Elton John singing Tiny Dancer at the Disney Park show today," one fan wrote on X.



 

Another fan commented, "Is Elton John rocking this Disney Christmas parade or am I getting older and emotional on this special day?"



 

Some praised his enduring talent, with one person sharing, "Elton John on Disney Christmas just slaying it. I’ll never get tired of his music. Even as his voice deepened over the years, it just became more soulful."
