Elton John teases new music following vision loss, says he's 'looking to create things'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Elton John is preparing to delight fans with new music.
The 77-year-old music legend appeared on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' on December 17, alongside Brandi Carlile, where he shared plans for new music after concluding his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July 2023.

The conversation with Stephen Colbert explored Elton John's creative process, his reflections on his legendary career, and the health struggles he's faced in recent months.
Colbert, 60, asked if the singer-songwriter’s creative “juices” were still flowing following his tour and moments like “jamming with Joni” Mitchell.
John confirmed that new music is indeed on the way. “You will be getting some more [music],” said John, known for hits like "Crocodile Rock."
He added, “The juices have never dried up. They never want to dry up because I’m always looking to create things. It’s just having the space now to do it at my own time. Of course, there will be new Elton John music.”
The musician also reflected on his journey in the industry, noting how his career has evolved over the past 50 years, People noted.
Elton John lost vision in one eye due to infection
In an Instagram post earlier in September, Elton John revealed he suffered from an eye infection, leading to "limited vision in one eye."
“I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,” he said at the time.

In November, the 'Rocket Man' singer provided a further update during an appearance on 'Good Morning America'.
“I lost my vision in my right eye as a result of the infection. I can’t see anything. I can’t read anything, I can’t watch anything,” John disclosed.
