Emily Osment ends marriage to Jack Anthony just months after tying the knot: ‘It didn’t work out’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emily Osment has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Jack Anthony, merely five months after the couple exchanged vows in October 2024.
The 32-year-old actress, best known for her role in 'Hannah Montana', filed court documents on Friday, March 7, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their sudden separation, according to TMZ.
Emily Osment’s statement on the breakup

While the couple said "I do" on October 12, Osment listed December 7 as their date of separation, less than two months into their marriage.
The pair, who had signed a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot, do not share any children.
Osment remained composed in her statement to TMZ as she shared, "I think with any big decision in your life, whether it's relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision. Ultimately, it didn't work out."
The actress and Anthony have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
However, Osment had previously confirmed her marriage publicly just days after the wedding while appearing on CBS Mornings.
Emily Osment and Jack Anthony's whirlwind romance

Osment and Anthony’s love story began in 2021 when they first met at a concert.
Recalling their first encounter, Osment once shared, "He was dancing in the front row like a lunatic and I just pointed at him and was like, 'Who's that?' And then I went over there and introduced myself. I loved his dancing. You can tell a lot about a person by the way that they dance."
Their whirlwind romance quickly progressed, and by June 2023, Anthony proposed to Osment at Yosemite National Park.
She shared the joyous news on Instagram with a heartfelt caption: "This magical, beautiful, kaleidoscope of a person asked me to marry him this weekend... I did not know life could be this sweet or I could ever be this deliriously happy."
Inside Emily Osment and Jack Anthony's private wedding

Osment had initially kept details of their wedding under wraps but had spoken fondly of the event in media appearances.
Just days after the wedding, she told Drew Barrymore, "I've only been a wife for four days, by the way. It's really fresh, so I might cry... We worked really hard on putting this 'party' together. I mean, it was a wedding, but we brought all the elements that we love so much about each other and our friends and family together."
Her older brother, actor Haley Joel Osment, played a significant role in the wedding as a groomsman.
"It was really cute. I loved being able to sort of have him support me in that way, to support both of us in that way. He just nailed it," she recalled, according to Daily Mail.
