LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband, screenwriter Christopher Guest, have donated $1 million to aid those affected by the relentless wildfires ravaging Los Angeles.

Announcing their contribution on Instagram, Curtis revealed that the funds would be allocated through their Family Foundation to support relief efforts for communities devastated by the fires.

Jamie Lee Curtis' generous pledge amid devastation

Jamie Lee Curtis is collaborating with Governor Gavin Newsom, Mayor Karen Bass, and Senator Adam Schiff to ensure the donation is directed towards areas of greatest need.

Jamie Lee Curtis speaks out on national television

Appearing on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' on Wednesday, January 8, Jamie Lee Curtis became visibly emotional while discussing the fires' impact on her neighborhood in Pacific Palisades.

"My community and possibly my home is on fire," she said, holding back tears.

"The entire city feels like it’s burning. This is a catastrophe for Southern California," she added.

Curtis described the devastation, noting that local schools, markets, and friends’ homes had been reduced to ash.

She shared that while her family, including daughters Ruby, 25, and Annie, 34, were safe, many others were not as fortunate.



 

“It’s gnarly, you guys,” she said, adding, “Do anything you can—give blood, donate, or help however possible. This is a moment to come together as a community.”

Jamie Lee Curtis also took to Instagram to encourage her followers to support those in need.

She shared an image of the raging fires and updated her profile picture to an “I ❤️ LA” graphic.

In her posts, Curtis emphasized the importance of unity.

Curtis acknowledged the heroism of first responders, expressing her gratitude to firefighters battling the infernos.
