Epstein pictured holding giant novelty check with Trump signature

The check appeared to be the same one Epstein was photographed holding in the birthday book Ghislaine Maxwell assembled for his 50th birthday

WASHINGTON, DC: The Department of Justice (DOJ) released thousands of pages of records on Friday, December 19, linked to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, stirring significant attention across political circles.

One of the newly released items is a black-and-white photo of Epstein holding a large novelty check that seems to bear Donald Trump’s signature. These documents were posted on a government website created specifically to comply with the requirements of the "Epstein Files Transparency Act."

Jeffrey Epstein holding giant novelty Trump check

The photo shows Jeffrey Epstein standing next to a woman whose face has been obscured. Both are holding a large novelty check. However, attention has also been drawn to the frame of the picture, which bears the phrase, “Once in a blue moon.”

The date and location of the photo remain unknown. Epstein is wearing a T-shirt with “USA” on it while holding the check.

NBC News reports that the check seems to match the one shown in a birthday book Ghislaine Maxwell created for Epstein’s 50th birthday over two decades ago. One page of the book contained a note from a Mar-a-Lago member joking about selling a “fully depreciated” woman to Donald Trump for $22,500.

House panel releases note from Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘birthday book’

The House Oversight Committee released a batch of documents connected to Epstein. That included a page from a leather‑bound “birthday book” compiled for his 50th birthday back in 2003. The page features a message that appears to bear Trump’s name, which the committee shared as part of the records.

Democrats on the committee posted on X (formerly Twitter) a page with typewritten text. The page shows the outline of a naked woman and ends with the message, “Happy Birthday - and may every day be another wonderful secret.”

Newly released Jeffrey Epstein files include rare photos and sensitive court records

The DOJ has released new documents about Epstein, including photos that have never been seen before. Many of the pictures are partly hidden. The website warns that some sensitive information might still be visible even after it has been covered.

The archive covers over 50 court cases, including Epstein’s federal and Florida state trials, as well as civil lawsuits like those filed by Virginia Giuffre. Each case links to official court documents in PDF form.

These files include investigative records from the Palm Beach Police Department, which reportedly conducted the first criminal probe into Epstein in 2005.
