WASHINGTON, DC: After ex-Attorney General Pam Bondi was fired on Thursday, April 2, over her alleged ineffectiveness in taking on Trump’s enemies, Epstein files survivors have described the development as "karma," accusing the former AG of failing them.

Donald Trump’s decision to replace Bondi has also been linked to her controversial handling of the Epstein files.

The announcement of Trump’s decision to fire Bondi provoked strong reactions from Epstein survivors, many of whom accused Bondi of mishandling documents that could reveal the extent of his crimes.

‘Mishandled release of Epstein files’: survivors about Bondi

Following the development, a survivor association called Bondi’s tenure a failure, as it released a statement.

“Attorney General Pam Bondi failed survivors. Under her leadership, the Department of Justice mishandled the release of the Epstein Files, leaving millions of pages withheld from the public while serious redaction errors exposed survivors' identities."

These failures put survivors at risk, eroded trust, and compounded the trauma we have lived with for years,” the statement read.

The statement continued, “We came forward with courage and hope for justice, but under Attorney General Bondi's leadership, we were met with secrecy, mismanagement, and a failure to adequately protect our safety. Every misstep by the Department of Justice has reminded us that the system often protects abusers, not victims.”

Survivors urge accountability, transparency from new leadership

The survivors have urged the new leadership to maintain accountability and transparency, hoping to work together to expedite the justice process.

“As new leadership takes the helm at the Department of Justice, we stand ready to work together toward a more rigorous and transparent process moving forward."

“We are calling for meaningful transparency, accountability for past mistakes, and real protections for those who bravely come forward. Accountability should not depend on power, position, or influence.”

Government, system repeatedly failed us: Annie Farmer

One of the numerous survivors, who faced terrifying abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Annie Farmer, told The People that not only one person but the whole system and the government have repeatedly failed the survivors.

“Regardless of who holds power, survivors deserve accountability, transparency, protection from retaliation, and assurance that those who enabled Epstein, Maxwell, and others will be investigated and, if appropriate, prosecuted,” she was quoted as saying by The People.

Bondi’s removal has sparked mixed reactions among survivors. While survivors have cautious hope for justice, the termination of the AG also raises questions about whether it was intended to prevent her from testifying in the Epstein files case.
