Talking to reporters on Thursday, September 11, President Donald Trump said that the media "ought to be ashamed of themselves" for justifying the shooting of Kirk.

When a reporter asked the POTUS, "What do you think about the media that justify the murder of Charlie Kirk?" the MAGA leader replied, "I think it’s terrible. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. It’s terrible."

Previously, Trump announced the death of Kirk in a social media post, writing, "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie."

"He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!" the POTUS added.

Two days after Kirk was killed, law enforcement arrested the suspected shooter, who was identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. His father reportedly turned him in after recognizing him in CCTV footage shared on social media by the FB.
