Donald Trump facing years in jail

The 40-year-old’s claim came after the Manhattan Criminal Court convicted Donald Trump of 34 charges in his hush money trial on May 30. He could soon end up in jail for up to four years.

Despite the verdict, the former president's family and supporters have slammed the court’s decision, while he reportedly called it a “rigged, disgraceful trial.”

Eric Trump claimed dad Donald's hush money verdict has upset Americans

During Fox News' ‘Sunday Morning Futures’ on June 2, Maria Bartiromo asked Eric Trump, “Everybody wants to know what this verdict means for the presidential election. Will President Trump be able to run and win? Will he be able to do the things that he was planning on doing for the campaign to actually be victorious in November?”

Eric replied, “Well, Maria, as I walked out of that courthouse that day, I said, ‘May 30th, 2024 might be the day that won it for Donald Trump. I’ve never seen this country more upset about what’s happening.”

He continued, “The swing of independent voters after this conviction has been unbelievable because no one believes it.

“And you know, they’re literally feeding him, you know, certain segments of the population that he might not have had in 2016 and 2020 because for the first time, they realize that the system’s coming down, that he’s the victim,” the former president's son added.

“He’s the victim that oftentimes some of their communities were. And you see them swinging,” he noted.

Elaborating further, the son of the Republican leader stated, “Look at the African-American vote, right? That’s swinging over to Donald Trump in spades. Look at the Hispanic vote over the last couple of years. You know, look at the youth vote right now, Maria.”

“I mean, we’ve never had more youth support out there and people know exactly what’s going on and they want a strong country again,” Eric added.

Eric Trump called ‘dumber than his dad’ Donald Trump

Social media users blasted Eric Trump online for his statements about Black voters. On Facebook, one critic of the Trump family commented, “I’m convinced his nannie dropped him on his head a lot…”

Another said, “Nice choice of language there, fail son.”

One person commented, “It's bad enough to use the term 'spades' in reference to black voters. What's more deeply troubling is that they truly think black voters identify more with convicted felons.”

“Move along. Nothing stupidly racist to see here,” another stated.

“These kids are dumber than their dumb convict dad,” an individual added.
