Erin started her Instagram carousel on Friday by posting a picture of herself clutching a handwritten love letter from her husband, her co-star on HGTV.
Ben acknowledged in the statement that he already. “knew by December 8th” that Erin was the one when he skipped out on a trip to New Orleans with his friends because “cheese sticks from Sonic and talking in your Beetle sounded better.”
Ben would get so much attention from "various cheerleaders and dance team girls" before they started dating, according to Erin, that she "felt like I was living in She's All That and he was being nice to me on a bet."
Fortunately, the art student realized that "Big Ben" wasn't only playing a romantic comedy from 1999 and that he was genuinely interested in getting to know her.
She reported being taken aback when "he, somehow, knew my full name" and when he extended an invitation for dinner in the student union.
She went on to say that she met Ben on December 8, 2004, so she could take his yearbook photos. She thought the huge man on campus "looked like Robert Goulet on SNL," but she was excited about the prospect of hanging out with him.

“At one point once we were alone, while I was interviewing him, he leaned in closer to me — he smelled so nice and I noticed how exactly straight his teeth were,” Erin wrote, adding how her “heart raced” when he seemingly leaned in for a kiss she avoided. She explained her reasoning, saying, “I denied it obviously, because you can't fall in love and kiss someone 12 hours after meeting them can you?”
The author of 'Heirloom Rooms: Soulful Stories of Home' added in her story's conclusion that Ben invited her out, suggesting they "go for a drive," even though she declined his advances.
An admirer said, "This is my favorite week on social media," in the post's comments section. The couple, who have two kids, Mae, two, and Helen, five, were praised by another as having a love tale "worthy of a Hallmark Movie adaptation ❤️."
