Escaped New Orleans inmate on the run begs Trump for help in viral video, claims he was 'let out' of jail

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: A fugitive, who escaped New Orleans prison with nine other inmates, has posted a video while still on the run, begging President Donald Trump to help him prove his innocence.
The US Marshals Service confirmed to NOLA.com that they have launched an investigation into the video, which was posted by a man who confirmed to be Antoine Massey, one of two escapees still at large.

Massey, 32, who is accused of several crimes, including assault and kidnapping, broke out of the Orleans Justice Center on May 16, as cops claim a prison maintenance worker helped him and nine other inmates slip through a toilet and sink in a cell, according to the Daily Mail.

Antoine Massey pleads with Donald Trump
Following the escape, Massey allegedly took to his Instagram handle @_007chucky to share a video pleading his innocence and insisting that he was "let out" last month.
Looking down at the camera, the highly tattooed fugitive claimed that the accusations against him were made up by a jealous woman he was "dating."
“I’m one of the ones that was let out of Orleans Parish jail where they said I escaped, right?” he said, adding, “The reason why I left the jail is because these people were trying to give me a life sentence in both parishes for something I did not do.”

He begged for help from prominent rappers and pleaded with President Donald Trump to investigate apparent corruption.
“All types of stuff going on and they're covering it up … don’t care about nothing in the state of Louisiana. This is something that needs to go under a federal investigation,” he said in the video, as per the New York Post.
“I’m asking, please, for help … I’m saying people that been through the system that know it’s corrupt. Lil Wayne, Donald Trump, please, I’m asking for help. You know what I’m saying?”

Massey also held up paperwork that he said proved that the assault allegations on his ex-girlfriend were carried out by other people, however, it is unclear if these documents are genuine.
The video was first published on Instagram on Sunday, June 1, and then deleted, before later being posted by another account with the same username on Monday.
Authorities raid home where Antoine Massey shot the video
After Antoine Massey’s post went viral on the internet, authorities launched an investigation into the video and raided the home where the escaped fugitive allegedly recorded the footage.
Massey was not located during the raid, but authorities found his clothes at the residence, according to Fox News. Police were reportedly tipped off by Massey's relatives, who recognized the home.
Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson responded to the video, saying, "If the individual depicted in the video is indeed Antoine Massey, we strongly urge him to come forward and turn himself in to the proper authorities.”
"Cooperating with law enforcement is in his best interest and may help avoid additional charges. It is important that justice is served appropriately and that due process is followed,” her statement added.
Antoine Massey’s extensive rap sheet
Antoine Massey was taken into custody in March 2025 on charges of vehicle theft and domestic abuse battery. Before the jailbreak, he was already wanted in St Tammany Parish for alleged assault and kidnapping.
Massey owns a rap sheet dating back to 2009, and his past convictions include armed robbery, aggravated flight from an officer, felon in possession of a firearm, theft, and tampering with electronic monitoring equipment.

The recent prison break marks his fifth escape-related incident. In November 2023, Massey cut off his ankle monitor but was captured within two hours.
Veteran bounty hunter Matt Dennis, who had previously apprehended Massey, told Fox8Live that he believes Massey won't be out for long.
“I’ve dealt with Massey. I’ve personally arrested Massey,” Dennis said. “When we dealt with Massey, I told my team, ‘Be careful, he’s playing stupid.’ But you can tell he wasn’t stupid, so we used the full gear -- shackles, handcuffs, everything -- after he escaped us," he told the outlet.
However, authorities estimate that the ongoing manhunt for the fugitive prisoners will cost well over half a million dollars, with organizations such as the ATF and FBI joining the search.
