In the first video, he said, “I need to make an announcement, because I feel like my voice is getting silenced and every day, s*** is being thrown my way. My community, f***ed,” according to Daily Mail.

He continued, “I have been mistreated and abused, neglected, made into a mental example and I fear for my life every day."

“People in my community make me look out as if I’m going to be someone that’s going to be a problem and make things difficult for people when I’m only trying to be helpful,” he added.

“I feel like I have a certain way about myself and strength and purpose that does not get valued or get treated properly,” Singler, a native of Medford, Oregon, continued.

Kyle Singler says he’s being ‘held hostage’

A few hours later, the former forward for the Detroit Pistons and the Oklahoma City Thunder uploaded the second video where he claimed, “So like I was saying, I've been in this house for five years, and it is a hole. I've gone out to my community, I've tried to bring my family and friends in to play, to try to help me out, start a new career, begin a new life, and everybody has played me into a fool.”

“Creating chaos, creating narratives to, again, have it be profitable for people. My life has not changed at all,” he stated.

Singler also asserted, “I'm being held hostage in a certain situation and positioned to, again, create a false narrative about someone and people in general, when all I have been wanting to do is create a business in nature to all people to feel —” as the video suddenly ended.

Kyle Singler receives support from his community and fans

Soon other current and former NBA stars began commenting on his videos with Kevin Love tweeting, “To everyone who has spent time with Kyle Singler and whose lives he has touched - please shower him with the love and support he needs+deserves. I would not be who I am today without him. I am forever indebted and love him. To the NBA family, Duke BB family, & South Medford community - let’s show up for one of our own. 🙏🏻❤️”

Isaiah Thomas commented below the Instagram video, “Here for you bro! Always and forever.”

Andre Drummond said, “You aren’t alone brother! I’m here for you.”

A fan shared, “Hey Kyle, we don’t know each other but you’ve made a big impact on my life. A lot of my family went to Duke, so naturally I became a fan in my earliest memories. You were my favorite player along with Nolan. Your shot, constant competitiveness, and love for the game and Duke was something I caught even when I was younger than ten. I know we don’t know each other as people, but if you read this just know I’m praying for you. God bless you.”

Another one said, “This is concerning 😢 someone in his circle, please check on him.”

“I hope someone that you trust sees this and is able to get you whatever help you need. I hate to see you go through the pain of not being able to trust someone or be in fear for your life. Sending you prayers and positive vibes, bro,” a comment read.

Another Instagram comment read, "This is where THE BROTHERHOOD needs to step in and make things happen for him. He’s obviously not going to be able to himself the help he needs. @dukembb, step up, take care of this!"
