Titled 'I Play Rocky', the upcoming film will explore Stallone's early struggles as an actor, grappling with a paralyzed face and speech issues that kept him on the fringes of Hollywood. Despite the odds, Stallone refuses to part ways with his script unless he's cast as the lead, turning down lucrative offers in favor of bringing his vision to life.

Variety reveals that Farrelly will helm the project alongside producers Toby Emmerich, the film former chief of Warner Bros, and Christian Baha, with Peter Gamble penning the screenplay. Casting for the film is currently in process.

Emmerich expressed his excitement, stating, "I’ve been a fan of Peter Farrelly as both a filmmaker and a person since getting to work with him on the music for ‘Dumb and Dumber.'
