WASHINGTON, DC: Following the announcement of the nuclear deal between the United States and Saudi Arabia, a rumor began circulating on social media platforms claiming that MAGA fans are revolting against President Donald Trump over the deal. The claim has sparked debate and speculation, with calls for a fact check into the viral claim.

According to the claim that surfaced on X, conservatives are framing the recent US-Saudi nuclear deal as conflicting with desires for a Christian crusade rather than aiding Muslim nations with nukes.

The claim states that MAGA fans are revolting against Donald Trump after the announcement of his Saudi nuclear deal because they voted for him to crusade for Christianity, not let Muslims build nukes.

The alleged outrage has drawn mixed reactions from online users, with many expressing support while others mocked it as they believe the claim to be real.

Fact Check: False, the claim originated from a parody account

The claim, however, is false, as no reports suggest that MAGA or any other group is angry at the recent nuclear deal between the two countries announced by Trump.

As of this writing, no groups have made any announcements or released statements indicating outrage at the nuclear deal.

If the claim were true, it would have been widely covered by prominent news media outlets, but a search on Google for the rumor yielded no such results.

Moreover, the claim was first posted by a parody account called ‘The Halfway Post,’ which describes itself in the bio as ‘satire.’

A fact-check by Grok also debunked the claim, writing, “There is no credible evidence of widespread MAGA 'revolt' against Trump specifically over anti-Muslim or 'Christian crusade' reasons; the post from the satire account HalfwayPost is humorous exaggeration.”

President Trump took to Truth Social and stepped up conditions on Saudi Arabia, saying that there will be “no enrichment of material” under the agreement and the civil nuclear deal would not be approved until the kingdom normalizes its relationship with Israel

The Civil Nuclear Deal between the two countries “which pertains only to non-military use” will take place, “but is totally subject to Saudi Arabia joining the very respected and successful Abraham Accords.”

While Washington made the normalization of the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Israel a condition for any deal allowing the kingdom to enrich uranium, Saudi leaders have long insisted that would not be possible without meaningful progress toward a Palestinian state.
