LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A growing list of celebrities, including Beyonce, have been linked to Sean 'Diddy' Combs' infamous parties. Since Diddy's recent arrest in New York City on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, talks about the star-studded guest list from these gatherings have intensified.

Meanwhile, there were also rumors claiming that Beyonce lost 4 million followers overnight on Instagram due to her and Jay Z's ties with Diddy. Is there any truth to this? Let's find out.

Claim: Beyonce lost 4 million followers on Instagram after Sean 'Diddy' Combs' arrest

An X account named @PopFlopHQ tweeted on Friday, September 27, stating that Beyonce's followers dropped from 320 million to 316 million on Instagram. A screenshot was also attached to the tweet.

A website named Cultura Colectiva also wrote, "Beyonce has found herself at the center of a big controversy in recent days after a large number of social media users have flooded her profile, attacking her and linking her to Diddy’s legal troubles and the tragic death of Aaliyah. The result? A massive loss of followers."

False: Beyonce did not lose 4 million followers on Instagram

The claim that Beyonce lost 4 million followers on Instagram overnight is false.

The stats that Social Blade, a website that provides "global analytics for any content creator, live streamer or brand", provided show that the singer gained more than 56K followers on Friday.

Moreover, an X user also claimed that Beyonce's followers reduced to 316 million since February and not specifically after Diddy's arrest.

The person wrote on X, "Stop lying. She has had 316M followers since August. Instagram began purging her followers since February (she has been dropping since then). Lmfao."

Proof: Social Blade's stats show Beyonce had 316 million followers in August

Social Blade claimed Beyonce's followers dropped months before Sean 'Diddy' Combs' arrest and not overnight. The website's statistics showed that Beyonce's follower count reached 316 million in August 2024 and on August 19, she had a total count of 316,914,063 followers.

Moreover, there is no proof that Beyonce's Instagram followers dropped from 320 million to 316 million overnight since Diddy's arrest.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z's Instagram follower count is comparatively low at 903K currently.
