Claim: Dan Campbell criticized the NFL and Bad Bunny over 2026 Super Bowl halftime show

The claim that Dan Campbell criticized the NFL over Bad Bunny's 2026 Super Bowl halftime show appears to have originated from a Facebook page called Detroit Daily Star.

This page shared a post on Facebook just days after it was announced that Bunny would headline the show, attributing specific quotes to Campbell.

The post claimed he asked, “Is this football or a circus?” and would take action against the NFL if Bunny performed during the halftime.

Sharing Campbell's and Bunny's images in a collage, the page posted, "BREAKING: Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell publicly criticized the NFL for choosing Bad Bunny to perform at the Super Bowl halftime concert: 'Is this football or a circus?' The NFL then went into chaos when coach Campbell threatened to pull the Lions from the game if Bad Bunny continued to perform at the Super Bowl."

The post had another link in the comment section. When clicked, it shows a page named topnewsource.com.

On that website, a lengthy write-up is shared with claims regarding Campbell and what he supposedly said about the Puerto Rican rapper.

The claims have since spread all over Facebook and X.

Fact Check: No credible evidence to back the claims

The claims about Dan Campbell's criticism of the NFL and the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show appear to be false, as there is no credible evidence that he said anything about the NFL, Bad Bunny, or the halftime performance.

A White House official confirmed that ICE agents will be on site during the Puerto Rican musician's Super Bowl performance, which will take place on February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California

Corey Lewandowski, a former Department of Homeland Security advisor under the Donald Trump administration, spoke about it.

During an appearance on Benny Johnson’s 'The Benny Show', Lewandowski said, "There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else."

“We will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that that is a very real situation under this administration, which is completely contrary to what how it used to be,” he added.
