LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper Eminem is not just known for his unforgettable songs and Grammy wins, but the 'Slim Shady' singer is also acknowledged worldwide for his philanthropic efforts.

Over the years, his Marshall Mathers Foundation has helped disadvantaged and at-risk youth.

Recently, an online rumor claimed that Eminem had announced a $10M investment to build a stray dog rescue 'paradise'. But is there any truth to this? Let us find out below.

Claim: Eminem announced $10M investment to build stray dog rescue 'paradise'

A rumor in late May 2025 claimed that Eminem had announced a $10 million investment to build stray dog rescue facilities.

A Facebook page named 'Eminem Logic' posted on May 21, "SOCIAL MEDIA SHOCKER: Eminem unexpectedly announces a $10 million investment to build a 'paradise' for stray dog rescue – promising love and shelter for thousands of abandoned dogs!"

The post received more than 160,000 likes and more than 11,000 people commented on it. The post displayed three photos of Eminem, two showing him with dogs, according to Snopes.

The rumor also circulated across different social media platforms such as Instagram, Threads, TikTok, X, and YouTube.

False: No credible evidence to back the viral claim

The claims made in the viral posts are false, as there is no credible evidence to prove that Eminem announced a $10M investment to build a stray dog rescue 'paradise', Snopes reported.

Searches on search engines, such as Google and Bing, showed no news media outlets reporting about any such incident, per the fact-checking outlet.

Moreover, people who made the posts included photos that seemed to have been generated by artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

One of the Facebook posts featured a link in the top comment that led users to an advertisement-filled article on the plain-appearing WordPress blog thepublicpulse.com.

Interestingly, that article falsely claimed the rapper announced the investment news on his X profile, but Eminem's X feed showed no such posts.

Other rumors circulated about Eminem

This is not the first time a fake rumor has circulated about the rapper online. In November 2024, a message circulated on social media with the term "liberal snowflake" plastered all over it, claiming that the words came straight from Eminem himself.

The full quote read, "I am not a liberal snowflake. My feelings aren't fragile, my heart isn't bleeding. I am a badass believer in human rights. My toughness is tenderness. My strength is in the service of others. There is nothing more fierce than formidable, unconditional love. There is not a thing more courageous than compassion. But if my belief in equity, empathy, goodness, and love indeed makes me or people like me snowflakes, then you should know — WINTER IS COMING."

However, the claim was false as there’s no proof that Eminem ever said these words.

Some social media users quickly pointed out that Eminem’s quote, was originally written by Houston Kraft, a motivational speaker and author.

He originally shared this message back in 2017 on both X and Facebook.
