Claim: Melania kept Natalie Harp away from Trump at Freedom 250 Grand Prix

The rumor originated with an X user, CalltoActivism, who claimed that Natalie Harp was being “boxed out” at the Freedom 250 IndyCar Grand Prix.

The user wrote, “Natalie Harp seems to be getting boxed out at the Freedom 250 IndyCar Grand Prix. It looks like an agent was solely assigned to keep her away from Donald while Melania is around. The behind-the-scenes drama is officially spilling out into the open. Damn.”

The footage shows Harp near members of the Trump family as security personnel managed the crowd around Donald and Melania Trump.

Harp was also near the track when the first couple arrived for the race. She spoke with Eric Trump and greeted Donald Trump Jr as security officers moved people around the group.

At some points, security appeared to direct people, including Harp, away from the president. Melania was also seen near the presidential vehicle while Trump greeted people nearby.

Fact Check: The claim is false

The claim is false. The viral video does not show any clear conversation or instruction confirming that security deliberately “boxed out” Natalie Harp.

There is also no clear audio or visual evidence that an agent was specifically told to prevent Harp from approaching Donald Trump.
