Fact Check: Did Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen perform together in 'defiance' after Trump's attacks?

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: President Donald Trump took a jab at pop icon Taylor Swift and rock performer Bruce Springsteen last week in a Truth Social rant. He said Swift was "no longer hot" and accused Springsteen of making "illegal campaign contributions" to his rival during the 2024 presidential elections.
Following the POTUS' outburst, a post circulating online claimed that both Springsteen and Swift performed on stage together in "defiance" of Trump. But is there any truth to this? Let us find out below.

Claim: Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift performed together in 'defiance' of Donald Trump
In May 2025, a Facebook post claimed Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift performed together in a concert after President Donald Trump targeted them in a Truth Social rant.
Notably, Trump had written a series of posts about them on his official Truth Social account.
In a post aimed at Swift, Trump wrote, "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she’s no longer 'HOT?'"
Similarly, in another post he wrote, "HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT? WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS?"
After his attacks, Facebook posts from accounts like Rock N' Roll Mania claimed that Springsteen and Swift banded together in a performance in "defiance" of his criticisms.
The post included a collage of Taylor and Springsteen together as the caption read, "When Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift took the stage together, it wasn't just a duet—it was a statement. As the two icons stood shoulder to shoulder, the arena erupted in thunderous applause, drowning out the noise of viral criticism that had trailed them online."

It continued, "Backed by the full force of the US Musicians Union, who declared their "solidarity" with the artists, this moment became about more than music—it was about unity, defiance, and respect for artistry."
Fact Check: False, as there is no proper evidence to back the claim
The claims made in the online rumor are false as Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen did not perform a concert together in response to Trump's criticisms or for any other reason, according to fact-checking outlet Snopes.
The pictures in the Facebook post don't show a real concert where they were onstage at the same time. It shows the singers performing on separate occasions, with Swift performing in Buenos Aires in November 2023, and Springsteen performing in November 2022 and April 2023.

Moreover, no credible news outlet covered any such news since it would have been a grand occasion considering its magnitude.
Furthermore, the claim originated from a Facebook page known for posting fake stories and AI-generated images of famous musicians, per the fact-checking outlet.

Donald Trump slams Beyonce for endorsing Kamala Harris in 2024
After taking jibes at Swift and Springsteen, Trump lashed out at Beyonce for her endorsement of Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, "According to news reports, Beyoncé was paid $11,000,000 to walk onto a stage, quickly endorse Kamala, and walk off to loud booing for never having performed, not even one song! Remember, the Democrats and Kamala illegally paid her millions of Dollars for doing nothing other than giving Kamala a full throated endorsement."
He dubbed it an "illegal election scam at the highest level" and insisted that the singer had made an illegal campaign contribution. Moreover, he also claimed that "Bruce Springsteen, Oprah, Bono and, perhaps, many others, have a lot of explaining to do".
