WASHINGTON, DC: A video shared by an X user has gone viral, showing President Donald Trump in a purported phone conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu. The clip depicted Trump allegedly berating Netanyahu over Israel’s unpopularity and included elements referencing Melania Trump’s supposed reactions from a book titled “Married to the Devil.” Let's fact check the claim.

Claim: A video shows Trump lashing out at Netanyahu

An X user named @wearforbidden posted a video claiming to show President Donald Trump lashing out at Benjamin Netanyahu.

The post’s caption read, “EXCLUSIVE: Video of President Trump ‘lashing out’ at Benjamin Netanyahu leaks! This is exactly what we expected."

In the video, Trump is shown on a phone appearing to make offensive remarks toward Netanyahu, including phrases such as, “What the f**k are you doing? You’re f***ing crazy… You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me,” along with comments suggesting widespread dislike toward Israel.

The clip also includes scenes showing Melania Trump sitting and reading a book titled “Married to the Devil,” reacting with a disapproving expression.

At the time of writing, the video had received more than 333K views and generated significant engagement, with users questioning whether it was real or AI-generated.

Fact Check: The video allegedly showing Trump berating Netanyahu is false

The viral video showing Donald Trump allegedly berating Benjamin Netanyahu with crude language is false. The clip is an AI-generated satirical video that closely imitates and exaggerates a real reported phone call between Trump and Netanyahu around June 1, 2026.

According to reporting based on US officials briefed on the call, Trump did express frustration and reportedly told Netanyahu, “You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me,” in reference to Netanyahu’s ongoing corruption trials. He also allegedly suggested that Israel and Netanyahu were facing widespread public backlash, allegedly saying variations of, “Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this,” while positioning himself as separate from the criticism. These details were reported by several outlets, including Axios.

However, the viral video adds fabricated and exaggerated elements, including crude dialogue such as the “daddy” line, which does not appear in any credible reporting. These additions are widely understood as satirical embellishments designed for comedic effect.

The clip also falsely depicts Melania Trump reading a book titled “Married to the Devil” and reacting with visible disgust. There is no evidence that such a scene, book reference, or reaction is connected to any real-world event, making this portion entirely fake.

While the real phone call reportedly involved tense exchanges about Middle East policy, particularly US efforts to de-escalate strikes in Lebanon and manage negotiations with Iran, the video itself is not authentic. It is a clearly labeled or widely circulated AI-generated satire that blends partial real reporting with fictional and exaggerated content.
