Claim: Taylor Swift was punched while walking with Travis Kelce after AFC Championship game

A viral clip on X (formerly Twitter) claimed that Taylor Swift was accidentally 'punched' while walking with Travis Kelce after the AFC Championship game.

The caption read, "I saw someone say that guy in yellow accidentally hit her chin with his hand that’s why Travis was checking on her."

The user then added another slow clip of the exact moment and captioned it, "Omg they’re right" with a crying emoji.

Moreover, a different X user posted the same slow-motion clip and wrote in the captions, "Patrick Mahomes father accidentally punching Taylor Swift in the face after the AFC Championship game."

False: Insider confirms Taylor Swift was not punched in face

The rumor circulating in the viral clip is completely false as an insider close to the pop icon confirmed to US Weekly that Taylor Swift was not hit in the face while celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs' AFC Championship win with Travis Kelce on the field.

The source informed the outlet, "Taylor was never punched" and added that the clip doesn’t show the "full picture" stating that the unidentified person simply "went in for a hug".

Notably, Swift started attending Kelce's Chiefs games early in their relationship, and in many of the games she has attended, the Chiefs have won, including the 2024 AFC Championship and the Super Bowl.

After last year's AFC Championship game where the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10, Swift joined Kelce on the field to celebrate, along with his parents Donna and Ed Kelce, and brother Jason.
