The posts drew mixed reactions from online users, with many slamming the network and Bondi for leaking the audio, while others remained skeptical and questioned its authenticity.
Fact Check: False, the video is AI-generated
The video, however, is fabricated, and there is no evidence that Bondi and Trump were ever recorded having such a call, nor is there any evidence that Maddow broadcast a transcript of one.
A search on Google for the keywords ‘Trump Bondi call,’ ‘Rachel Maddow Trump call,’ yielded no credible reports by prominent news media outlets, which, if true, would have made headlines.
Additionally, an analysis of the video using an AI detection tool called Hive Moderation gave it an aggregated score of 83.6%, indicating the video is very likely AI-generated.
A closer look at the audio reveals common signs of AI generation, such as robotic tone, awkward pauses, and unnatural speech patterns.
