NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, requesting documents concerning the possible misappropriation of federal funds in connection to her indictment of former president and leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.

She is also accused of terminating a whistleblower from her office in connection to the same matter.

Willis has gained attention over the last two years for her role in charging Trump with alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Following this news, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X to report on the issue as several people on the internet called out Willis.

Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “FANI SUBPOENAED! House Judiciary Would Like a Word With Willis [DETAILS].”



 

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which reported that Fani Willis has been subpoenaed by House Republicans following her allegations of misconduct.

In the letter to Willis, Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan wrote, “On August 24, 2023, the Committee on the Judiciary wrote to you requesting documents in the custody of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office (FCDAO) relating, in part, to its receipt and use of federal grant funds issued by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).”

It continued, “Since that date, we have sent two additional letters, on September 27, 2023, and December 5, 2023, reiterating our requests. To date, you have failed to comply voluntarily with any of our requests.”

The subpoena continued, “In accordance with the attached Schedule instructions, you, Fani T. Willis, in your capacity as the District Attorney of Fulton County and head of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, are required to produce the following items in your possession, custody, or control, from the period of September 1, 2020, to present in unredacted form.”

Jordan hinted at the subpoena on Thursday, conveying the forthcoming action by sharing the following message on X.

He wrote, “Did Fani Willis misuse federal grant money for personal benefit? Did she misuse Georgia taxpayer money for personal benefit? Why aren’t Democrats asking these questions?”



 

Internet calls Fani Willis a ‘disgrace’

Many X users took a brutal jab at Fani Willis.

One person wrote, “I’m sure she’s Gonna use the Race card!” and another said, “She need to be remove from the office immediately of misuse the federal money for herself.”



 



 

An X user simply slammed Willis, “Drop the case Fani against Trump!” and another said, “She's a disgrace..!!”



 



 

One more person called out Willis, “She's has accused Mr Trump of financial fraud, all the while, commting financial fraud....Liberals,” and another added, “Karma is real today’s . YES!”
