ARLINGTON, TEXAS: Unverified fan theories are circulating online that Jake Paul's victory over Mike Tyson via unanimous decision was "fixed". Moreover, some viewers claim to have identified the specific instance that proves the theory.

One fan posted a video of Tyson taking a chin shot on X (formerly Twitter) along with the caption, "Jake Paul signaling for Mike to take it easy." However, there is no tangible evidence to support the fan theory, per Daily Mail.

Conspiracy theorists claim Jake Paul 'signaled' Mike Tyson to 'take it easy'

The 58-year-old made his first professional boxing appearance since 2005 at Arlington Stadium in Texas, on Friday, November 15, but his comeback left spectators disappointed.

Following a social media footage showing the Baddest Man on the Planet holding back before losing to Paul by unanimous decision, fans are also wondering whether Tyson was paid to lose to the Problem Child.

In response to the punch, Paul teased Tyson and stuck his tongue out, perhaps indicating that he was unfazed by it. However, several conspiracy theorists claimed that Tyson was "signaling."

Paul, 27, has done this in past bouts, and the former YouTuber has a tendency of sticking out his tongue even when he is not fighting.

The former heavyweight giant was easily defeated by Paul on Friday night during the Netflix bout as Tyson only managed to land 18 blows, lumbering around the ring in a fruitless attempt to pursue his younger opponent.

Paul subsequently stated that he refrained from confronting Tyson because he "didn't wanna hurt someone that didn't need to be hurt."

Many were shocked that the fight was even approved after Tyson experienced an ulcer flare-up during a cross-country journey in June. Tyson earlier claimed that he almost died on the plane and that he needed eight blood transfusions to recover.

Given that Tyson is decades past his peak, it was apparent why Paul was the favorite to defeat him. However, conspiracy theorists continued to conjecture about match-fixing throughout and after the fight.

Moreover, many fans assumed the event was rigged in favor of the YouTuber, and they wonder whether one of the requirements for Tyson to be eligible to receive $20 million in prize money was if he lost and not knock out Paul, per Marca.

Conspiracy theories surrounding Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson bout spark mixed reactions among fans

Viewers asserted that they have identified the exact moment that proved Jake Paul versus Mike Tyson bout was staged as one wrote on X, "This was the most staged fight I’ve ever seen."

A second conspiracy theorist claimed, "Tyson acknowledged the signal watch tysons head. Moving up and down".

"And Mike biting his gloves was the signal to take it easy on him as well," chimed in another.

One claimed, "The fight was fixed but the Tyson ass memes are as real as it gets!"

"Mike almost tagged him with a fight ender there. He catches himself last instant and grazes the neck instead of the factory reset button," said one.

Despite the conspiracy theories, many fans quickly pointed out that Paul was probably making fun of Tyson, who was barely hanging on for the majority of the evening.

One explained, "He’s literally signaling that the weak punch did not affect him. This is commonly known as a “taunt”."

"People thinking they know Tyson enough to know when he's going soft but they don't know him enough to know he would never accept a rigged fight," said another.

One remarked, "You people believe anything The guy is 58 years old.. Jake Paul luckily went easy on him after the second round".

"If Mike really wanted to win, he would have not stopped swinging to let Jake make faces like that," noted one.
