LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cynthia Erivo, the 'Stand Up' hitmaker, recently shared an Instagram Story showcasing her matching tattoo with pop sensation Ariana Grande.

The tattoo tribute has once again caught the attention of fans, highlighting the close bond between the two stars.

This tender gesture comes amid exciting news that the first part of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical 'Wicked' is ready to hit the screens on November 27. The second installment will follow a year later, premiering on November 26, 2025.

Erivo, 36, has been cast as Elphaba, while Grande, 30, plays Glinda the Good Witch.

It was previously reported that the leading actresses of 'Wicked' unveiled their matching tattoos on Instagram, seemingly commemorating their time filming the movie.

The tattoos, a poppy flower, and the phrase "for good" are located on their hands. 

Notably, the poppy likely alludes to the field of poppies in 'The Wizard of Oz', where Dorothy, played by Judy Garland, falls asleep en route to meet the Wizard. "For Good" is a line from a song in 'Wicked' bearing the same title, which also happens to be a poignant duet between the leads.

Ever since they accepted their roles in the transition from Broadway to screen, Grande and Erivo have expressed deep admiration for their friendship, as per People.

Sharing an image of their tattoos, Erivo wrote, "@arianagrande We have worked and worked and worked so hard. We have cried and laughed and cried some more, I am endlessly proud of US, of the way we have loved Elphie and Glinda and the way we have loved each other."

She added, "You are a one in a million and if I had to do this all over again, you'd still be my Glinda, but Ari really is the gift I was lucky to get. Now, time for us to share this beautiful witches!!"

The '7 Rings' hitmaker reshared the heartfelt message and wrote, "ohhhhhhhh my *deep breath* my Elphic.... my Cynthia... we have indeed!!!!"

She continued, "i will never forget a second of this time with you. perhaps, the hardest laughs and cries of my life. i cannot wait for the world to be changed by your Elphie the way i have been changed by her and by my time with you."
