LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are reuniting for a sequel of the 2003 film 'Freaky Friday,' two decades after the actresses played mother and daughter in the fantasy comedy film.

During the chat with Andy Cohen, the host asked Lohan about rumors of a sequel.
"It is. I don't want to say too much," she said of the sequel being in the works. "And we're both excited," Lohan continued, referring to her co-star Curtis.
"I'm gonna speak for Jamie," she added, according to ET.
Jamie Lee Curtis suggested the 'Freaky Friday' sequel following fan requests
Curtis and Lohan previously hinted at the possibility of working together in the future during an interview with The New York Times.
While commemorating the 20th anniversary of 'Freaky Friday,' Curtis recalled, "As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another 'Freaky Friday'. Something really touched a chord."
"When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, 'It feels like there’s a movie to be made,'" she continued.
Lohan added, "Jamie and I are both open to that. So we're leaving it in the hands that be."

Lohan, who welcomed her first child with her husband, Bader Shammas, in July 2023, reflected on what they learned from the 2003 film about parenting.
"To have more patience... You want to let them explore and live the way they need to live -- with boundaries," stated the actress.
Meanwhile, Curtis said the film taught her to "suspend the judgment, open the ear, listen more."
"Also, as a parent, we’re sizing up all the time: shoes, clothes, foods. It’s all future thought. My lesson from Freaky Friday was to be where your feet are," added the mother of two children.
