WASHINGTON, DC: FBI Director Kash Patel is engaged to country singer Alexis Wilkins, with the couple announcing their engagement Sunday after dating for about three years. Wilkins, 27, shared the news on social media with a photo showing her diamond ring while standing beside Patel, 46.

“Went and got the law involved,” Wilkins quipped in the engagement announcement.

Wilkins made the engagement announcement Sunday by posting a black-and-white photograph of herself and Patel smiling together as she displayed her new ring.

The couple's relationship had remained in the public eye during Patel's tenure as FBI director, but Sunday's post marked the first public announcement of their engagement.

Patel subsequently shared Wilkins' post, confirming the news with heart and diamond ring emojis.

Reportedly, the couple had been dating since early 2023, meaning they had been together for roughly three years before becoming engaged.

Kash Patel and Alexis Wilkins met in Nashville

Patel and Wilkins first met at a friend's event in Nashville in 2022 and began dating in early 2023.

Wilkins previously opened up about their relationship during a 2025 appearance on the 'Megyn Kelly Show,' where she recalled how the pair met. “We just happened to meet,” Wilkins said while discussing their relationship and brushing off a question about their age gap.

She also spoke about what initially drew her to Patel.

“I have always liked [him], when I met him, I just liked that he was so, so honest,” Wilkins said. “He’s exactly who he is all the time. His character is incredible. His values are incredible.”

The couple remained close as Patel took on his role as FBI director and faced scrutiny from the media, according to the report.

Patel was sworn in as FBI director on February 21, 2025, after being confirmed by the Senate in a 51-49 vote. Sen. Susan Collins and Sen. Lisa Murkowski were the only Republicans who voted against his confirmation.

Wilkins, who is also conservative, has hosted a Rumble show.

The engagement announcement came as Patel continued serving as FBI director, a position he assumed in February 2025.
