Michael Chiarello ‘was on a new weight loss drug like Ozempic’

The report noted, “Eileen was not sure about the decedent's drug use because she and the decedent had been separated for several years.”

Gordon also apparently told the investigators that she’s “concerned because she has a friend whose husband had an allergic-type reaction to the medication.”

The estranged wife of Chiarello did not claim that the Ozempic-type drug had anything to do with the chef’s death but thought it right to inform the cops about it.

Michael Chiarello ‘had not eaten anything in quite some time’

Police also spoke with Chiarello’s current partner Kellie Martin about the use of any drugs by him.

She reportedly told them that he was using Tirzepatide (brand name: Mounjaro), which is like Ozempic.

But Martin mentioned Chiarello “hadn't taken the medication in the last two weeks”.

‘He brought people together’

This development comes after Chiarello’s family issued a statement after his death.

It read, “We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved patriarch Michael. His culinary brilliance, boundless creativity, and unwavering commitment to family were at the core of his being.”
