Former CNN anchor Don Lemon and Tim Malone finally getting married after four years of engagement
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Don Lemon, 57, fired CNN anchor, and his stylish fiancé, Tim Malone, 39, are reportedly finally getting married after seven years of highs and lows, which included four years of engagement.
According to insiders, Joy Behar of 'The View' has been selected by Lemon to be his best man and to stand beside him.
Couple getting ready for spectacular holiday wedding
According to sources, the couple is getting ready for a spectacular holiday wedding that will include a number of star-studded surprises, as reported by RadarOnline.
A source told the 'National Enquirer', "The dynamic duo has been meticulously planning their nuptials, with Joy Behar at the helm as Don's designated best man."
The source added, "And the drama meter is sure to hit the roof with the addition of Wendy Williams as a bridesmaid, along with the glamorous 'Real Housewife of New York' Countess Luann de Lesseps."
According to insiders close to the couple, Lemon was forced to walk the plank at CNN, and Malone was there to support him no matter what. This is why the couple decided to get married.
The insider added, "Tim has been Don's rock, especially during the past year. Their wedding is not just a celebration of love but a testament to the strength of their bond!"
During the summer, when the couple took a much-needed vacation from New York City to Sag Harbor, Malone's unwavering support for the ousted anchor was evident.
Lemon 'seemed relaxed and at ease' with his fiancé
'Page Six' was informed by an eyewitness that despite being fired by the network weeks prior, Lemon "seemed relaxed and at ease" while spending time on the beach with his fiancé.
After Lemon's employment with CNN ended in April, he declared that he was "going to enjoy my summer... spend it on the beach and have a great time".
After years of waiting, Lemon finally fulfilled his promise, and it seems that this improved their relationship as the couple is now ready to say "I do".
Lemon and Malone's engagement
Lemon and Malone announced their engagement in 2019, but the pandemic delayed their wedding preparations.
Lemon candidly told People in 2021, "Quite frankly the wedding is still on, but we just decided not to talk about it until the pandemic is over because there are more important things happening in the world."
