NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Amy & TJ', the podcast hosted by former 'Good Morning America' stars Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, has had a massive drop in listeners, The US Sun reported.

The data reported by the publication was sourced from Chartable, a major global podcast analytics platform.

How did the ratings for 'Amy & TJ' change over time?

The podcast held a lot of promise at the time of its launch in 2023. When the very first episode was released on December 55, 2023, it debuted in the Top 5 for all podcasts in the United States.

But 'Amy & TJ' miserably failed to hold on to the top spot, as only a month later, the show plummeted in the US charts to rank 243 on January 6.

The interest of the public in the once widely-discussed couple has clearly waned as one source reportedly told The Sun, "There was a ton of interest in what they were going to say about their affair and being cut from ABC in the aftermath, but I'm not sure anyone expected that interest to continue much beyond that."

A slight improvement has recently been noticed in the ratings after the couple opened up about their drinking history in one of the episodes, with Holmes admitting to having about 18 drinks a day before they decided to observe 'Dry January' this year. The candid episode helped the podcast climb up to the 136th spot in the charts.

Ratings from Apple and Spotify showed 'Amy & TJ' in a position similar to that on Charitable, stated The Sun.

What did Amy Robach and TJ Holmes share about their drinking habit?

On the January 11 episode of their podcast, the couple discussed how they were coping two weeks into the booze-free month. As the topic of heavy drinking came up, Robach, 50, revealed drinking 15 to 20 drinks a week, averaging two to three drinks a day. Her beverages of choice happened to be beer, wine, margaritas, and Aperol Spritz.

However, the confession of 46-year-old Holmes came as a far bigger shock for the listeners.

"I, personally, can go through 18 drinks a day," he said, before explaining that he has two drinks after his morning run, which might turn more if there is a bar on the route. If the couple then goes out for lunch, they have a minimum of two drinks.

"Now, if we're not out and about for the day, running errands or doing something, and we're just inside, I can easily have a drink in my hand from two in the afternoon until seven, eight, nine, 10 o'clock at night. So, you do those numbers and you have a drink an hour for another eight hours you could argue," he added.
