Former 'GMA' host Amy Robach recalls getting emotional while dropping daughter Annalise to the airport
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former 'Good Morning America' star Amy Robach opened up about an emotional family moment involving her youngest daughter, Annalise, in her 'Amy & TJ' podcast she hosts with her partner TJ Holmes.
Robach shared that Annalise, 17, had gone off to visit her elder sister Ava, 21, who is pursuing higher studies in Germany. The siblings were planning to stay together for a week.

The topic was brought up by Holmes, 46, who mentioned that the 51-year-old had recently dropped off her youngest at the airport. While she was happy about the sisters getting the much sought-after time to bond, Robach was admittedly emotional about her daughter taking on the long journey.
"My youngest, my 17-year-old Annalise, it is her mid-winter break, so she opted to go to balmy, warm Berlin. Her older sister, Ava, is there studying abroad, and she just arrived," she told the listeners.
Seeing Annalise leave was particularly difficult for Robach, as she said, "I was pretty emotional, as I pointed out, when Ava went off because she's gonna be gone for five months, and then Annalise is only gone for a week, but this is the beginning because she is going to go to college next fall."
"And so now for whatever reason when I dropped her off at the airport, I got super emotional. I couldn't stop crying yesterday," she added.
According to The Sun, Robach had Ava and Annalise with her ex-husband Tim McIntosh, 58.

Amy Robach captured Ava's departure
Robach shared the moment of Ava's departure for Germany on social media, admitting that "heart was aching" at the time.
The TikTok clip showed the two embracing outside the airport. The text above the video read, "My first baby officially leaving the nest."
In the caption, the former television anchor wrote, "All moms can relate…my baby is leaving the nest. I was lucky because she attends NYU, so she has just been 7 blocks away! But now she's heading out for the first time in 21 years, studying abroad for the next 5 months. I'm so excited for her, but my heart is still aching."
Fans showed support to Robach, as one commented, "She will be ok…but soooo hard for we parents," while another wrote, "My oldest left for college this year. Everyone prepares you for motherhood. No one prepares you for sending your child off to college. It hurts!"
