WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Maria Bartiromo has openly criticized former President Barack Obama, attributing the rapid political ascent of Vice President Kamala Harris to his influence.

During an interview with conservative commentator Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute (GAI), the journalist discussed the Democrat's swift progression from the district attorney of San Francisco to VP in the last two decades.

Maria Bartiromo accuses Barack Obama of orchestrating Kamala Harris' rise in politics

On her Fox News show, Maria Bartiromo said, "Obama reportedly pulling all the strings from four years of the Biden-Harris administration to the meteoric rise of Kamala," seeking to understand the extent of former President Barack Obama's apparent influence.

Schweizer weighed in, "She was campaigning for Barack Obama in 2003 before he was in the US Senate," before speculating that Obama orchestrated a political maneuver that sidelined President Joe Biden in favor of Harris.

"That's why I think there is considerable evidence that Barack Obama is the one that essentially instituted this coup and saw to it that Joe Biden was kicked to the side and Kamala Harris would be the nominee," added the senior editor-at-large of far-right media organization Breitbart News.

Maria Bartiromo cites unverified report of Barack Obama threatening to invoke the 25th Amendment against Joe Biden

Subsequently, Maria Bartiromo referenced an unverified claim that Barack Obama had threatened to invoke the 25th Amendment against Joe Biden if he refused to drop out of the 2024 race. Although such an action is not within the former president's power as an unelected individual, the report added fuel to the discussion.

"So, in my mind, there's lots of evidence, and his fingerprints are all over this," said Schweizer, agreeing with Bartiromo's sentiment.

When the Fox News host pressed further on whether Obama had directly threatened Biden regarding the 25th Amendment, Schweizer admitted he lacked concrete evidence but acknowledged that such actions would align with his known political strategies.

"I don't have that same evidence, but it would certainly fit the pattern for Barack Obama," conceded the GAI president.

Maria Bartiromo mocked over her remarks on Kamala Harris and Barack Obama

Netizens weren't keen on Maria Bartiromo's analysis of Barack Obama's major influence on Kamala Harris' political career.

One wrote, "She is not relevant," and another said, "Poor Maria.....and grifter Schweitzer? geez, could there be two more despicable hacks?"

"Maria has too much of the Alternative Reality mix in her drink. Definitely into non-fiction these days," joked a person, while someone else remarked, "I love when they hide in their little cocoons and tell each other scary stories."

Another person mockingly wrote, "I have NO evidence BUT that is exactly what happened, because , you know, people are saying." "Wow; remember when she used to be a journalist?" quipped one more.

A netizen expressed, "Lol they're just making s**t up out of whole cloth. Just another day at Fox Propaganda Network."
