Garcelle Beauvais announces exit from ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’, fans call it ‘end of an era’

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Garcelle Beauvais' fans were left disheartened as she revealed that she has decided to quit ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ after appearing in the last five seasons of the reality show.

The Haitian-American actress took to Instagram on Tuesday, March 25, to share the news. “Hey guys. So, I have some news. I’ve decided to leave Beverly Hills. It’s been a wild ride,” she wrote, The Daily Beast reported.

“I mean, some of the most amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened. But it’s been a ride nevertheless,” she added.

Garcelle Beauvais, who has previously worked in shows like ‘Miami Vice’ and ‘The Jamie Foxx Show’ and movies like ‘Coming 2 America’ and ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, further added that “one of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys. Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that.”

“And Jade is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that too. And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting in. I can’t tell you anything right now, but you’ll know soon,” the 58-year-old added.

Fans online were, however, sad with the actress' decision.

An Instagram user commented on her post, “End of an era! Thank you for being so open and refreshing. I will miss you on RHOBH but wishing you the best with what’s next!”

One person said, “But I only watch it for you😭 you’re always booked and busy so I know this stops nothing, but I am sad. Can’t wait to see your next chapter!”

Some even expressed their thoughts on X as one fan posted, “Garcelle revamped her career, snagged several bags, cohosted the view, bought a beach house, got her son into modeling and started producing her own movies. 5 seasons and miss girl milked it for EVERYTHING. I give lashings to those I love. I’ll miss her.”

“I’m shocked. I really thought we’d get at least one or two more seasons from Garcelle. Seems so abrupt!” one person remarked.
