LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: California Governor Gavin Newsom trolled President Donald Trump after the latter went on Fox News and blasted him over California’s housing plans and “radical” politics.

During his Monday night sit-down with 'The Ingraham Angle', Trump, 79, took aim at Newsom.

“I mean, I knew Gavin for four years, I got along great with him,” Trump told host Laura Ingraham, recalling his first term.

“But he’s gone radical left.”

Trump versus Newsom

The president went off on a familiar rant, claiming California’s infamous bullet train is “3,000 percent” over budget and insisting that “no building permits have been issued” in the areas scorched by January’s Palisades Fire.

“He did something even worse than that,” Trump said. “He’s now taking a big section of Palisades or some area, and he’s going to build low-income housing where they used to have luxury housing.”

The state is indeed ponying up $101 million to fund affordable housing projects near wildfire zones, but none of the proposals in the Palisades have received funding thus far, per the Los Angeles Times.

Newsom, 58, didn’t let Trump’s attacks slide.

Taking to X, Newsom posted a chat with Elon Musk’s AI bot Grok. “Do people with dementia repeat false things over and over again?” he asked.

“Yes, people with dementia frequently repeat false statements, questions, or stories over and over. This is a common symptom known as perseveration or repetitive speech/behavior, and it often involves inaccurate or fabricated information (sometimes called confabulation)," Grok responded.

This isn’t the first time Newsom has sought help from AI to attack Trump's mental fitness.

When Trump claimed California’s firefighting efforts were hampered by “refusing to let water come in from the Pacific Northwest," Newsom used another AI search to suggest the aging president was showing cognitive decline.

The Democrat governor also didn't spare Trump when the latter had posted and quickly deleted a typo that read, "South Carerdddd." Newsom remarked at the time, “The extra ds stand for dementia.”

A perpetual feud between Trump and Newsom

During his conversation with Ingraham, Trump warned viewers what a “President Newsom” would mean for America. “Honestly, I always liked him, but he’s a horrible governor, he’s a horrible governor,” Trump told Ingraham. “If he ran the country like that, this country would be gone.”

The president added, “The fact is, if I weren’t President, if Kamala got in, not only wouldn’t you have $20 trillion coming in. You would have money leaving, and your welfare system, take a look at some of the welfare things we're talking about. They've doubled, tripled, and quadrupled since I left office.”

This came just days after Newsom's team roasted Trump by calling him “The Nodfather.”

After Trump was photographed dozing off in the Oval Office during a televised event about cutting prices for weight-loss drugs under Medicare and Medicaid, Newsom’s press office posted a collage of six sleepy snaps of the commander-in-chief.

Each picture was stacked above the words “The Nodfather” in gold lettering that mimicked 'The Godfather' movie poster. “Saw this. had to share," Newsom's office captioned the post.
