Gene Simmons charges fans $12K to be his 'personal assistant and band roadie' for a day

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Gene Simmons is giving superfans a chance to live out their rock ‘n’ roll dreams but at a steep price.
The 75-year-old musician has launched 'The Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience,' allowing one lucky fan per show date to be his personal assistant and band roadie for $12,495, according to Page Six.
Inside Gene Simmons experience package

As part of the package, the selected fan will meet up with Simmons and his band members early in the day at a designated location to go over the schedule.
The fan will then join the Gene Simmons Band Team Crew “for the entire day” and receive exclusive perks, including a crew member shirt, hat, and VIP badge.
The experience is not just about hanging out with the rock legend, it comes with hands-on responsibilities.
Fans will “arrive & load-in to the venue with the Band” and assist with setting up for the show, according to their website.
Throughout the day, participants will also enjoy backstage access, sit in on sound check, and even join Simmons on stage during the show for their chosen city.
To top it off, participants will receive a signed setlist and a bass guitar that Simmons personally used during his many KISS rehearsals.
The package also includes a meal with Simmons, either at the hotel or backstage.

Fans lucky enough to score the experience will be allowed to take photos throughout the event and can bring one guest, as per their website.
They can also bring up to four items for Gene Simmons to autograph, excluding instruments and body parts.

Only one 'Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience' package will be available per show on his upcoming tour, which kicks off April 3 in Anaheim, California.
For those who do not get selected or prefer not to do the heavy lifting, Simmons also offers VIP meet-and-greet packages ranging from $6,500 to $12,500.
These include autographs, photo opportunities, and the option to bring up to three guests, minus the roadie duties.
“You will find that Gene Simmons is very down-to-earth, funny, and knowledgeable on almost any subject,” the official website states.
Gene Simmons' life after KISS
Since retiring from KISS in 2023 after their End of the Road World Tour, Gene Simmons has been touring with the Gene Simmons Band.
“I have nothing to complain about. No woulda, coulda, shoulda. Been there, done that,” Simmons told Page Six in June 2024, adding that he remains in close contact with former bandmates Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer.

"Obviously, we’re in communication, between emails and texts and all that. Every other day we text and talk to each other,” he shared.
KISS, which formed in 1973, also originally featured Peter Criss and Ace Frehley alongside Simmons and Stanley.
Internet mocks Gene Simmons' $12,000 package for fans
After Gene Simmons' team announced a $12,000 package for his fans to experience a day with him as a personal assistant, netizens mocked the KISS legends' offer.
One user on X wrote, "I read that wrong at first. I thought he was going to pay me. Yeesh. The audacity," and another tweeted, "I don’t think he gets how that works lol."
"If he genuinely cared about his fans, he'd choose one and just spend time with them. Lunch or something. Not asking them to pay him. That's nonsense, but there will be that super fan that will do this thinking it's the greatest thing to ever happen to them. To each their own," a netizen opined.
"You pay me to work for me. Brilliant," an individual remarked. Another commented, "Charging. LMAO. I wouldn’t do it if he paid ME 12K a day."
