LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'General Hospital' actor Johnny Wactor's funeral arrangements have been announced; he was shot and killed during an armed robbery on May 25 in Los Angeles. His brother Grant initially shared the update on social media. Co-worker Anita Joy will reportedly attend Johnny Wactor's funeral

Scarlett also confirmed that Johnny's colleague Anita Joy—whom he protected during his last moments—would be present at the funeral. "I’m very excited…it’ll be nice that I’ll be able to see her and be able to meet her as well," Scarlett told the outlet.

Posting on social media about Johnny's final moments, Joy wrote, "Johnny was between me and the man who shot him. As I heard the shot ring into the night, he forcefully tumbled back into my arms."

"As I grabbed for him, I shouted ‘Hunny you ok?!’ And he only responded, ‘Nope! Shot!’" she continued.

"We toppled onto the street where I pushed my legs under him and tried to hold his body up while screaming for help and screaming at him to stay with me," she added.

Scarlett added that friends from Johnny's Los Angeles theater group are also organizing a private memorial service for him that is "not press, and no fans," she hopes to attend if she can.

Johnny Wactor's mother Scarlett urges reforms to employee safety in downtown Los Angeles

The official cause of the actor's death was determined by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner to be a "gunshot wound to the chest" and the manner of death to be a "homicide."

According to a news release acquired by Fox News Digital, Scarlett has not received any updates from the LAPD while they continue to search for the suspects, who fled the area driving a dark-colored vehicle and wearing all dark attire, per the New York Post.

Scarlett said, "I hope that’s a good thing because my thought is, usually…whatever they have, they’ve got to follow the lead, run it through, why would you call the mother like, ‘Yeah we got something?’ Or even if they have something, you know they’re not going to tell me. I get that."

Johnny's mother Scarlett has been advocating for protection and parking in downtown Los Angeles to make it safer for workers to leave their jobs late at night. Additionally, she is looking into approaches to lobbying local politicians for reforms.

Due to the high value of their precious metals, catalytic converter theft has increased dramatically. Canadian towns have urged motorists to etch their VIN on converters to prevent theft.
