George Clooney jokes he feels 'slighted' by the attention his wife Amal Clooney receives
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: George Clooney attended the Los Angeles premiere of his film 'The Boys in the Boat' at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater where he found himself taking a backseat to his gorgeous wife Amal Clooney.
On Monday night, December 11, the 'Ocean's Eleven' actor told ET that his attorney wife "cleans up" with her dazzling red carpet look as Clooney says he is "always embarrassed because I'm wearing something that I've worn, like, 1,000 times."
George Clooney says his 'entire career' has been reduced to a 'plus-one'
George quiped that he has started feeling "slighted" by the attention his wife has been receiving.
"My entire career has been reduced to a plus-one now," George joked. "I did one of those Women in Film things a couple years ago, and I had to introduce myself as 'Amal Clooney's husband' because, honestly, I was dead otherwise," he added.
George Clooney says his children think 'all I do is play in the water' in the new film
The 62-year-old Oscar winner who shares six-year-old twins Alexander and Ella with Amal said that his children often visited him on the set of his new movie based on the 1936 Olympic rowing team.
"Yeah, the kids came to visit. They think that all I do is play in the water," the actor said with a laugh. "I did a movie a couple of years ago called The Midnight Sky, and I had to shoot stuff in a tank and they came to visit and I'm in clothes, but I'm in a tank. So whenever I go to work, they think I'm swimming," he added.
The film is set to release in theatres on Christmas Day, December 25.
George Clooney talks about his Batman cameo in 'The Flash'
The actor recently indulged in a bit of nostalgia as he talked about reprising his role as Batman in a cameo appearance in the film 'The Flash' alongside Ezra Miller.
"There was such a clamor for me to come back as Batman, as you know," said George, adding "They were like, 'Can we do it without the rubber nipples?' I was like, 'Well, it's not really my Batman, is it?.'"
Addressing the possibility of a more sustained return to his role Bruce Wayne, the actor said, "I don't think there's enough drugs in the world for me to go back to Batman… It was fun to do because, you know, it was a bit. It was supposed to be funny."
