QUEENS, NEW YORK: Following his historic expulsion from the Congress, former Representative George Santos engaged in an online feud with New York's Democratic lawmaker Daniel Goldman over Santos' recent success in Cameo.

According to a CBS report, after he was ousted from the House of Representatives in a bipartisan vote on December 1, the former Congressman turned to the video messaging service Cameo where celebrities, or even disgraced public figures, record personalized video messages for hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Santos is currently charging $400 per video, said CBS. His profile on the app describes the ex-lawmaker as a "Former congressional 'Icon'!"

George Santos vs Dan Goldman, an online squabble

The online war of words started when Goldman retweeted an X post of Santos promoting his side hustle, which contained a video message he sent on Cameo to someone.

"Hey George Santos, friendly recommendation: make sure you pay your taxes on your cameo earnings," said the New York Representative, taking a jab at Santos over the alleged fraud and campaign finance violations that led to his expulsion.

Santos struck back, questioning if he has "looking for relevancy." "Still looking for relevancy off my name? Geez Dan, I'm gone go find someone else to step on to prop yourself up!" he tweeted.

The new Cameo star did not stop there. He continued the feud by posting an article link that claimed Goldman's landlord sued him for not paying $45,000 monthly rent on his Manhattan condo.

Tagging the Representative on X, Santos asked: "I mean we all struggle in life, and it's no shame but the Levi's trust fund baby who bought a congressional seat and pretends to be a man of the people advocating for the little guy can't make his 45k a month rent?"

George Santos' Cameo business going better than he expected

Though Santos lost his $174,000 of federal income, the ousted lawmaker has converted his political infamy into dollars.

In a recent exclusive interview with CBS New York, which will air on December 10, he revealed that the business is doing well beyond his expectations.

"How much money have you made and are you going to surpass the amount of money you could've made in Congress in a whole year?" the host asked.

Santos replied, "I can tell you that by the end of this week, that is actually factual. I will have made more money in seven days than I would've made in an entire year in Congress," said Santos.

Internet react to George Santos' online war

A petty online feud might be the last thing the public expects from someone who represented them in Congress.
