LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Country music icon George Strait recently captured the spotlight with his performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas where he added an unexpected twist to his set.

During his performance, Strait, celebrated for his smooth vocals and classic country hits, was observed performing a dance move that has become iconic and is closely associated with President-elect Donald Trump.

At his Allegiant Stadium performance in Las Vegas, George Strait expressed gratitude to the audience before exiting the stage and seemed to perform a subtle shimmy which led many to speculate that the King was emulating the Trump dance.

Strait briefly halted, gyrated his hips, and executed the familiar hand gestures and movements characteristic of Trump's notable "Trump dance" – a routine frequently displayed at Trump's rallies.

The dance, now widely recognized as a distinctive aspect of Trump's public image, features a unique side-to-side sway coupled with hand gestures and is often paired with an overstated strut.

During his campaign, Trump became famous for his simple dance moves to the tune of "YMCA" at his rallies.

Following the Republican nominee's victory over Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, the "Trump dance" has emerged as a certified cultural phenomenon.

The iconic George Strait has remained reserved about his political stance, though it is widely believed that the Texan cowboy leans conservative.

Following the assassination attempt on Trump earlier this year, Strait commended law enforcement during the introduction of his song 'The Weight of the Badge', a homage to the daily sacrifices made by law enforcement officers.
