WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump cautioned a faith group that they could be arrested and that "Christianity will not be safe" if President Joe Biden is re-elected in November.

Addressing the conservative Christians at the Faith & Freedom Coalition's 'Road to Majority Conference' on Saturday, June 22, in Washington DC, the Republican presumptive nominee attempted to instill fear about the future of Christianity under his Democratic successor, as per Mediaite.

Prominent GOP politicians, including Kari Lake, Sens Josh Hawley, and Joni Ernst, ex-Trump aide Dr Ben Carson and former Democratic lawmaker Tulsi Gabbard were present at the annual event.

Trump claims Biden admin will arrest faith groups

Trump argued that the faith group could get arrested if they stated their adherence to "God in Heaven," in the event of Biden returning to the White House for another term. "If you say that, they want to arrest you," he added.

The MAGA spearhead urged the religious conservative audience to vote by accusing the "radical left" of aiming to shame, silence, and demoralize Christians while keeping them away from politics.

"They don't want you to vote. That's why you have to vote," Trump continued.

"If Joe Biden gets back in, Christianity will not be safe," the former president said. Partly blaming the issue of safety on the border crisis, he added, "In a nation with no borders, no laws, no freedom, no future. Not going to be safe. You're not going to be safe as a person, and your religion certainly will be, I think, in tatters."

Trump touted the conservative Christians to vote for him, arguing the faith group's allegiance was not to the radical left but to the country and the "Creator," and they answered to "God in heaven" and not the "bureaucrats in Washington."

Addressing the gathering, the real estate mogul also voiced his explicit support for the display of the Ten Commandments in every school in light of a controversial Louisiana law requiring the display in classrooms.

Internet blasts Trump for warning about Christianity's future under Biden

Netizens denounced the former president for claiming that Christianity would not be safe if Biden gets re-elected in November.

"How often does Donald attend church services? Biden is at Mass just about every weekend. But go on and spread the BS claims like you always do! Nothing but fear mongering," a user said.

Another remarked, "FEARMONGERING ALERT: In case anyone missed it, Christians have been able to practice their faith without a single arrest in President Biden’s 3.5 years."

A third user added, "Religion has NO place in politics. Get out and stay out."

A fourth response read, "Christianity has been and will be fine in America with President Biden. Stop spreading his ridiculous lies."

"Dear Trump supporters. Trump thinks you are totally stupid, which is why he is telling you this lie," another user tweeted.

Someone else argued, "'Christianity Will Not Be Safe': Trump Tells Faith Group They Could Be Arrested For Religion Under Biden The stupidity of anyone who believes this BS is absurd. Conservatives want to make religion the next second amendment type trope. Libs will take it."

An individual wrote, "Christian here and none of that is true. Real Christians understand why Christian Nationalism is far afield from Christianity here in America."
